  • Additional costs could occur depending on circumstances: cassettes needing repair, clean-up, or special handling - to be discussed before job proceeds.

Cassettes that require additional care.

Most jobs won't require dealing with the issues below if good care and storage of video cassettes happened. But if the need arises, these are the possible options with prices below.

  • Mold -- price will be available as soon as I have the equipment to work with it.
  • Dirty/Dusty/Stained -- $10 to $40 per item depending on severity.
  • Broken VHS cassette shells -- prices will be available as as I get parts in.
  • Severed/Torn Magnetic Tape VHS/VHS-C/Hi8/Video8 -- Basic repair splicing: $25 per break
  • Broken/Moldy VHS-C/Hi8/Video8 cassettes -- Not serviced.

Older photos tend to fade and have colors desaturate. Colors can be, in most cases, corrected back to original vibrancy. Photo shown above on left taken in 1984, same photo scanned in and color graded. Even in albums, some photos will degrade. Read more about this in the F.A.Q. Page.

Additional 50 cents per photo:

In this example of a photo of a bullrider from around the late 1950s, time is spent adjusting contrast, exposure, removing creases/tears/stains, and pulling existing faded detail out that had began to fade out.

Additional $15 per photo:

For that photo that really needs it, or is an heirloom for you, upgrade to have it given advanced color correction, blemish removal, and exposure adjustment in the digital file.
  • Most older photos fade/ desaturate - color, hue, and contrast improved
